About the Program

The Community Storehouse Food for Kids: School Backpack Program provides children in food deprived homes with nutritious, child friendly foods on the weekends.

It is a proven fact the children who aren’t on a healthy, regular diet struggle with everyday tasks such as grades, attentiveness, sleep, and many other seemingly easy tasks.  Child hunger affects over 11.5 million children and their families in America, where the decision whether to eat or pay the bills is a far too often question.

Children have very little options when faced with these challenges, but with the help of you we can make a large difference in these children’s lives.

"If the Community Storehouse did not offer this service, many of our students would go hungry and hungry students cannot learn."
