    Nancy Nelson
    Founder, Executive Director

    Nancy founded the Community Storehouse 
    in early 2001, and since then has served as 
    the organization's executive director.  

    Under Nancy's leadership, the Community 
    Storehouse has grown from a grassroots effort 
    to feed the hungry, to one of the largest 
    movements to fight poverty and hunger in 
    Southside Virginia.







    Travis Adkins 
    Assistant Executive Director, PIO

    Travis joined the Community Storehouse in 
    2006, and currently serves as the 
    organization's assistant executive director
    and public information officer.

    Travis implemented the backpack program 
    initiative in Martinsville and Henry County and 
    currently serves on the Nonprofit Leaders 
    Network Governing Committee.

    Peyton joined the staff of Community 
    Storehouse in 2008, and currently 
    oversees the backpack program in 
    Martinsville and Henry County.

    Peyton is a full-time student at 
    Patrick Henry Community College.
